@DEPTH wants to thank everybody who attended NAB this year and visited the Dolby booth.
NAB 2013 was a great success for @depth since we demonstrated its new features at
the Dolby booth. The booth was very crowded, and the response was terrific. In the
invitation-only area of the Dolby booth everyone interested got a demo of @DEPTH 2.0.
The new features
@DEPTH 2.0 contains some great new features, and the public really loved it.
The usability and ease of creating 3D from 2D was an eye opener for many viewers.
In addition, combining 2D and 3D footage with the viewer unable to recognize the
difference was really appealing. The power of the new algorithm ‘Accurate’ was
amazing for many who saw the generated depth maps of the demo footage.

The biggest wow effect was the newest feature of @DEPTH 2.0,
the Depth Map Creation Service. The ability to create 3D without having the skills
of an artist in-house was really appealing.
Also the price of only $5 for each depth map was unbelievable for many.
Next to the 3D creation, there was a great interest in the 3D editing tools of @DEPTH.
Fixing the depth and the amount of parallax and solving problems with real 3D
received some great feedback.
Cameron Pace Group announcement
On Tuesday the Cameron Pace Group, Dolby and Philips announced the beginning of a
collaboration on using the Dolby 3D format. We expect to support this format in @DEPTH
by the end of May. The announcement caused even more traffic at the Dolby booth and more interest in
the auto-stereoscopic 56’’ display there as well as in the 23’’ auto-stereoscopic display
on which @depth presented @DEPTH 2.0.
